If you are involved in a problem in the workplace (as the grievor, manager, Union representative or Human Resources professional), mediation is an effective option for finding a resolution. Workplace issues often stem from a problem in work relationships. Employees often file grievances because they feel that it’s the only way to make themselves heard. In appropriate cases, mediating grievances allows the grievor, union, and the employer to bring their perspectives forward, on a without prejudice basis, with an eye to resolving the dispute.
